” Laverock’s mother reportedly left for Winnipeg, Canada, on May 11 to assist her son with a “medical emergency,” according to the GoFundMe page. The description says, “Nicole was able to get there in time to save her life.” Laverock was subsequently moved to a Vancouver hospital.

Her parents stated in a letter at the time that although “her recovery is unclear,” “she is alive and is showing signs of improvement.”

“We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie,” Hallmark Media said in a statement to Variety following the accident.
