Jorginho extends his contract with Arsenal and emphasizes the Gunners’ title charge defiantly. The Italy midfielder signed a new contract with the Emirates, expressing his satisfaction in North London and his desire to “win as much as I can.”

After agreeing to a brief contract extension with the Premier League leaders, Jorginho described Arsenal’s title defense this year as a “beautiful journey.” The 32-year-old Italian midfielder signed an 18-month contract in January 2023 after leaving Chelsea for £12 million.

Additionally, the Champions League victor has had a significant impact on and off the field, encouraging the Gunners to play one more season. Jorginho, who has played 35 games for Arsenal so far this season, expressed his happiness at staying, saying that it is an honour to be a member of this family. I felt involved and content overall. Since things aren’t usually that way, it’s significant when you experience anything similar.”

For the first time since 2010, Arsenal advanced to the Champions League round of eight before falling to Bayern Munich. Although the reigning champions still have a game to play, they lead Manchester City by a single point heading into the last two weeks of the campaign.

“I would say that we are enjoying it (this season) because it’s a beautiful journey,” said Jorginho, a Brazilian native. We’ve been experiencing a unique moment, so we should seize it and savour it daily.

We put in a lot of work to get where we are—really, really! We should be proud of what we’ve been doing because we have accomplished so much. We must believe in and have faith in what we’re doing.

The former Verona and Napoli star’s 2018 relocation to London continued: “I try to give everything I can of myself to everyone around.” That can be a hug, a conversation, or simply showing them something at times. Thus, I try to be as helpful as possible in every circumstance. I’m reliable for everyone here. I’ll be there for them at all times.

“We’re delighted that Jorginho has signed a new contract with us,” manager Mikel Arteta continued. Jorginho is a vital member of our team who exemplifies leadership qualities and a distinct style of play that enhances everyone around him on the field. The fact that Jorgi and his family have committed to working with us makes us very happy, and we can’t wait to go on this adventure together.

In addition to winning the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year title and finishing in third position in the Ballon d’Or voting, Jorginho and Italy won Euro 2021 at Wembley.

“Win as much as I can; enjoy the moment because that’s important for me,” he continued when asked about his future goals for Arsenal. Being in an environment where you are not pleased or enjoying yourself is challenging. Therefore, the goal is to strive to be happy here and accomplish as much as possible.
