Thomas Tuchel received encouragement from Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Thomas Tuchel received encouragement from Sir Jim Ratcliffe when the manager signed a new deal. With two games left in the season, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering Erik Ten Hag’s future as manager of Manchester United.

Plenty is riding on Sunday’s Premier League encounter that Erik ten Hag may be managing his last game as Manchester United manager.

Brighton, the home of the Seagulls since their promotion in 2017, has never seen the Red Devils win a league match with home crowds. United can still finish in seventh place and make it to the Conference League, at the very least, thanks to their 2-1 victory over Newcastle on Wednesday. This will provide them with a safety net should they lose to Manchester City in the FA Cup final and miss out on the Europa League.

With co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS colleagues listening to potential replacements, one of whom is now officially available, Ten Hag’s much-anticipated career could be at stake in these final two games of a miserable 2023–24 season.

This is a summary of the most recent Old Trafford news.

Tuchel confirms Bayern exit

The German coach stated that Thomas Tuchel would not be doing a U-turn and would stay at Bayern Munich. Tuchel, who INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly like, has been connected to taking over Erik ten Hag’s position in the Manchester United dugout.

In an interview with media before Bayern’s match against Hoffenheim on Saturday, the former Chelsea manager detailed how he was unable to come to a compromise with Bayern executives to undo their February announcement of parting ways.

Marc Skinner, the manager of Manchester United Women, has agreed to a one-year contract deal, with a one-year extension option. At Wembley, Skinner, 41, guided United to their first medal in the women’s competition on Sunday, crushing Tottenham 4-0.

The former manager of Birmingham City Women, who had an unimpressive Women’s Super League campaign, was the subject of mounting speculation regarding his situation. However, INEOS and United support him.

Robin van Persie
had earned his first role as a head coach, taking charge of Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen. The 40-year-old United legend has spent the past five years coaching within Feyenoord’s academy, occasionally helping out with first-team training sessions.

Van Persie turned down Erik ten Hag’s offer to join the Old Trafford coaching staff in the summer of 2022. The ex-striker desired to stay in Rotterdam for his family’s sake.
