Zach Bryan is an American Singer-Songwriter from Oologah, Oklahoma. He was born on April 2, 1996, to Dewayne Bryan and Annette DeAnn Mullen Bryan in Okinawa, Japan while his family was deployed overseas.
Growing up in the small town of Oologah, Oklahoma, Bryan started playing music at 14, when his father and grandfather bought him a Takamine guitar for his birthday. After learning to play and write lyrics, Bryan created his unique sound.
Zach Bryan was an active-duty member of the United States Navy, enlisting at the age of 17. He was continuing a family tradition. Bryan wrote songs using his spare time whilst in the Navy for his enjoyment.
A United States Navy Veteran, his major-label debut album American Heartbreak entered the United States Billboard 200 at number five.

In 2017, Zach’s friends would record him performing using his iPhone and he started uploading his music to YouTube. One of his Songs, “Heading South” eventually went viral.
DeAnn, Zach’s debut album was dedicated to his late mother and was released on August 24, 2019. He recorded the album with his friends in a Florida Airbnb and it was written within two months. His Second album, Elisabeth, was recorded in a repurposed barn behind his home in Washington. The album was released on May 8, 2020.
Bryan later signed a record deal with Warner Records to release his music.
In 2021, the United State Navy discharged Bryan after eight years of service to pursue his career in music just ahead of his nationwide Fall 2021 “Ain’t For Tamin’ Tour.”
He released a triple album through Warner Records in May 2022, which includes “American Heartbreak.” This song has become his major-label debut. It debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200.
Bryan describes authenticity as essential to his music: “I’ll always tell the truth in whatever I’m playing or singing. Whether it’s one of the hopeless love songs I sing or a story I wanted to put into a tune, just know at one point in time I was putting all my heart and all my thought into how other people might understand my feelings and thoughts.”
