Early life
Wale was born on September 21, 1984, to a Nigerian couple who settled in the USA in the late 70s. His father worked as a professor at the university and his mother was healthcare personnel.
He had both his primary and high school education in Maryland where he won a scholarship to study at Bowie State University.
He quit along the way due to poor grades.

Wale then paused football career and resorted to music and released his first single ”Rhyme of the century” which enjoyed a little airplay.
